Small country, big impact: Belgium at the UN and UN-GGIM
What a week in New York and at the United Nations!
Proud to be part of an international group of geo-experts who strengthen each other by working together on stable standards and global policies around geospatial, space, and GIS. UN-GGIM is a true example for many, where respect and collaboration are truly part of the DNA.
A special mention for the hard work of the Belgian delegation and co-chair Ingrid Vanden Berghe, together with Joep Crompvoets. It shows how a small country can make a big impact in geospatial innovation and regulation. That makes us genuinely proud.
During this week, the next edition of the Geospatial World Forum (GWF) was also announced, right here in New York:
📍 Location: Amsterdam
📅 Date: April 28 – May 1, 2026
