Merkator Group welcomes SIGGIS

Merkator Group continues its growth with the strategic acquisition of SIGGIS. This new milestone builds on the momentum Merkator has gained since partnering with GIM in June 2022, further strengthening its position as the Belgian market leader in the geospatial IT sector. This is the first acquisition since Sofindev acquired a majority stake in the company in December 2023.

SIGGIS, headquartered in Belgium, provides GIS solutions such as sales, integration, development, training, and support in Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Germany, the Netherlands, and French-speaking Africa. As a Gold Partner of Esri and a Value-Added Reseller of VertiGIS, SIGGIS integrates geo-information into business processes. The acquisition strengthens our ability to offer end-to-end geospatial solutions, supported by advanced software and Digital Twins for governments, utilities, telecom, and private enterprises. The additional Esri expertise perfectly complements our own products, including Marlin and MarlinDT.
In addition, CEVI, the outgoing shareholder of SIGGIS, will take a minority stake in Merkator Group, creating new opportunities in the Belgian market.
