Job Description

As a Geo-ICT Specialist, you ensure that our services run stably, securely, and optimally for our clients. You are the link between GIS technology and IT infrastructure, making sure everything operates smoothly, reliably, and is future-proof.
You oversee the installation and configuration of Geo-ICT solutions and integrate external data sources and services into the system. You understand both the GIS side (Esri ArcGIS Pro, spatial data, coordinate systems) and the underlying ICT side (databases, networks, services, cloud). You collaborate with functional analysts, developers, and system administrators, and you’re not afraid to script or automate processes to improve efficiency.
Additionally, you develop extensions, plugins, or custom components for common GIS platforms (such as Esri ArcGIS Pro/Enterprise and ArcGIS Online) where needed, so that functionality better aligns with the client’s processes. Think of integrations, data processing tools, automation, or expanding available GIS functionalities.
You monitor incidents, implement optimizations, and proactively contribute ideas regarding performance, security, and scalability. In doing so, you help ensure the continuity and quality of our Geo-ICT solutions for our clients.
You will work from our office in Groningen or Zaltbommel (moving to ’s-Hertogenbosch in the future), or on-site at our clients’ locations.

Your Profile

  • Experience with GIS packages such as ArcGIS Pro, Portal for ArcGIS, FME, and ArcGIS Online.
  • SQL experience with databases like Oracle Spatial, PostGIS, and SQL Server.
  • At least 3 years of experience with one or both programming languages: Java or .NET (preference for C#).
  • Experience developing extensions/plugins or custom solutions for GIS platforms (e.g., ArcGIS Pro add-ins, tools for ArcGIS Enterprise/Portal, or integrations with ArcGIS Online) is a plus.
  • Experience with Docker (e.g., containerizing, deploying, and managing applications/services).
  • You are creative and take initiative.
  • You have strong organizational and planning skills.
  • You are stress-resistant.
  • You can work both independently and as part of a team.
