Targeted neighborhood interventions through data-driven work
In many local authorities, data is mainly used at the management level. We saw the same thing: impressive numbers, charts, and reports, but neighborhood teams hardly noticed any of it.
“Professionals often didn’t know what the data meant for them, and citizens had to repeat their stories over and over again.”
That changed when we put data-driven work at the heart of our operations. With Social Supporter, neighborhood teams gained insight into which areas of life in their district require the most attention.
The effect was immediately noticeable
- In neighborhoods where financial problems were identified, targeted workshops and budget coaching were introduced. This led to a decrease in financial concerns among citizens from 34% to 20%.
- In a neighborhood with high levels of loneliness, daytime activity projects were launched for people over 65, resulting in a 15% reduction in demand for formal care and saving the municipality €75,000.
- Professionals felt ownership of the data and were able to make better decisions about where and how to invest their time.
The lesson
Data only truly works when you translate it into daily practice. By connecting figures to the experiences of professionals and the stories of citizens, you create targeted interventions, more efficient use of resources, and measurable results for the neighborhood.
